LOCATION HIRE

Our building itself has a mysterious history; the ladies of the local laundrette cite memories of boiled sweet production yet Danny, a long term Pixley Street resident, clearly states our warehouse as being part of larger soap factory.

It is clear that 14 Pixley Street is a rare example of an original warehouse complex dating from the 1930's and has escaped the sterile gentrification of modern development. It features exposed brick, massive iron framed windows, winding stair cases, original pipework and fittings and an expansive Roof Terrace. Each floor in the building has been lovingly transformed by its residents to their needs. This includes set builders, painters, designers, musicians and artists.

Roof Unit on the top floor has a unique post-industrial aesthetic. Reclaimed materials, large open rooms, wood and brick make up our fitted desks and kitchen area. This together with personal touches and a distinct lack of Ikea furniture make Roof Unit a popular choice for location and staged still and video productions. Our Roof Terrace has interupted views of East London and Canary Wharf.

As a professional work-place Roof Unit can be hired as a unique shooting location with the production facilities of a studio.
